Description
Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police invites applications from suitable organisations who wish to tender for dog kennelling services for dangerous, seized and prisoner dogs. The tender is split into 2 geographical Lots: Lot 1 - Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and Lot 2 - Thames Valley Area (Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire). The full requirements are set out within the procurement documents which are downloadable free of charge from In-tend. The contract will commence on 27th September 2022 for 3 years with the option to extend for a further 12 months (4 years in total).

Interested parties should register their interest in the project via the In-tend website https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire and complete and submit their tender return document together with any supporting information requested by the submission deadline. ** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Due to the complex nature of this contract volumes are difficult to estimate and therefore figures should be used as a guide but will not reflect the actual contract value. The estimate figures shown within this notice are based on historical figures, with a slight uplift and also reflect an anticipated increase due to the pandemic and increase in dog ownership (see paragraph below). Estimated spend (based on historical data with slight uplift): Lot 1 - Hampshire up to £160,000 (£40k per annum) Lot 2 - Thames Valley up to £1,200,000 (£300k per annum) - note this is split over two kennels. Value increase (if required): As permitted by Regulation 72 1 a of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, either Lot maybe increased at any time during the life of the contract by no more than 50% of each Forces estimated value (Lot 1 extra £80k and Lot 2 extra £600,000) so long as this increase does not materially change any part of the service/contract and will operate on the same terms and conditions. The total contract value set out in section II.1.5 shows the maximum permissible spend where this option is applied. Due to the sensitive nature of this contract the successful kennel(s) details will not be placed in the public domain.
