Description

Procured via CCS DOS 5 mini-competition. Provision for full support arrangement for Maritime operational domain systems for which it is responsible. These are typically Secret and Above Secret, but also include Official systems. They are used ashore and afloat, in Ships, Submarines, Air Squadrons and Commando groups (hereafter collectively referred to as Maritime units). Support includes the full gamut of hardware thru to software (hereafter referred to as this service). This includes, onboarding/adoption of new systems and locations/instances into the Navy Digital area of responsibility. 1st/2nd/3rd line support, diagnosis and defect repair remotely and onsite. Routine upgrades/tech refresh and temporary/permanent fitting of equipment to meet unit's missions (inc commissioning, set to work, presentation for trials, decommissioning and removal). SMOD provides the continued delivery of RN operational outputs and, standing and contingent defence tasks at the required levels of availability through the sustainment and maintenance of essential operational enabling multi-domain and Command and Control systems in line with HMG and MoD policy.
