Description

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for the provision of Temperature Monitoring System and Support.

Total Quantity or Scope

The current TMS on UHW and UHL Pharmacy sites which was installed in early 2000 is now obsolete and the manufacturer, 3D Digital Design have closed down their business operations. Consequently, there is no longer a maintenance service for the system in the event of break down or replacement parts. The pharmacy directorate uses the TMS for continuous temperature monitoring of all refrigerators, freezers and critical ambient areas to assure the appropriate storage conditions for medicines are in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Renewal Options

The 48 months above includes an extension option of up to 24 months to be taken in 12 month intervals at the sole discretion of the Health Board.
