Description

Luton Council is committed to supporting citizens and vulnerable people to maintain their homes and their tenure, regardless of tenure type. This commitment is the main driver behind the commissioning of the Universal Floating Support Service that also supports the wellbeing and prevention and community safety agendas as well as complimenting the Care act 2014. 1.2.3 Floating Support is a flexible peripatetic Service provided to people in their own homes, accommodation or tenancies with the aim of enabling or maintaining independence. The Service required shall be provided for up one year with a clear Service User exit strategy. When the support is no longer required, it moves onto another person who needs it. 1.2.4. The Service is expected to support a minimum of 200 service users per week with an estimated allocation of 4 hours per person per week. This includes 30 dedicated Mental Health clients. The support will be flexible according to need and the Service User hours can therefore fluctuate up or down. This method shall dictate the capacity of numbers supported.
