Description
UTC Portsmouth is a college specialising in STEM education for 14-19 year olds. The successful Contractor will be responsible for the provision of a full college food catering services for the students and staff.
Total Quantity or Scope
UTC Portsmouth is expecting 464 students on roll for the academic year 2022/23 and increasing to 500 by 2025. There are currently 35 students are entitled to Free College Meal at £2.40 per meal charged on full price. Current daily FCM uptake is 19 per day. There is the main Refectory for Year 10 and 11 and a separate outlet for Year 12 and 13 students. TUPE consist of a chef manager and two general assistants. The contract being tendered is for 3 + 1 + 1 years in duration from 1st January 2023 and will operate on a guaranteed subsidy. The College is keen to reduce the cost of catering through increase uptake by improving food quality and variety. They wish to do so by working closely with a forward thinking supplier through introducing innovative and creative ideas. The provision of the service must demonstrate the best value approach and be flexible in its delivery and operation to ensure that the needs and ethos of the College are supported
