Description

North Northamptonshire Council (hereafter referred to as the "Council") are currently considering the implementation of a replacement Security Information and Event Management (hereafter referred to as "SIEM") solution, for which the Council's IT team will are responsible. Initially the Council are seeking expressions of interest from relevant organisations in the marketplace to assist the Council in the development of an appropriate specification to help it to understand options of how this new solution could be managed; (either internally by Council staff or externally via a shared responsibility model offered by a Managed Security Service Provider (hereafter referred to as "MSSP") Security Operation Centre thus providing 24/7 cover. Other options currently under consideration by the Council, include hosting (on premise or in the cloud), and the need to understand the benefits and drawback these options present as they will have significant influence on the final solution that we will pick. The Council are keen to engage organisations at their soonest opportunity, to understand current solutions available in the marketplace. This Early Engagement must not be considered as confirmation by North Northamptonshire Council that any future procurement opportunity will be forthcoming as a result of any activity undertaken as part of the Council's Early Engagement activities. The Council does not bind itself to running a procurement or awarding any resultant contract, following the conclusion of this Early Engagement activity. In accordance with the requirements of the Council's Contract Procedure Rules, it is committed to conducting this Early Engagement activity in such a way that it does not prejudice any future potential bidder.
