Description

This opportunity is to introduce a Framework for Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workshops and design programmes for young people aged 9-14. Both the workshop and design elements will support the RAF Youth & STEM’s objectives to inspire a future generation to study STEM subjects at GCSE and develop a more diverse and skilled future talent pool to address the national STEM skills shortage. The shortage is particularly acute among women and the socially disadvantaged – both areas that are specifically targeted by the RAF Youth & STEM programme. It is expected that up to 150 STEM workshops will be required to be delivered each year both face to face and virtually with half day and full day options made available. Workshops will need to be delivered throughout the United Kingdom and at overseas locations (tbc). Workshops and STEM resources will need to be curriculum mapped and be linked to the following topics: - Coding - Robotics - Cyber - Forces - Principles of Flight - Mindsets - Energy - Space - Electronics - Net Zero
