Manchester Central is currently looking for a contractor to provide an Electronic Point of Sales (EPOS) System. The Contract will be for a period of three (3) years from the commencement date of services, with an anticipated contract start date of 01/12/2022. Apart from offering in-house catering at the Convention Centre, Manchester Central also manages the hospitality facilities at Manchester's Central Library and the Runway Visitor's Park at Manchester Airport. We will also be running all the catering facilities at Manchester Town Hall when it re-opens in 2024. Consequently, the system should be able to operate in various hospitality settings from cafés and trade shows, to banquets and outdoor events. It should be fast, efficient, and designed to improve the customer's experience. Hardware should be robust but portable, enabling it to be moved and re-assembled in different locations. A variety of connectivity options is therefore essential to ensure the system can operate in different environments. You will be responsible for the maintenance of this hardware. Taking payments is an integral part of the EPOS system so it must be able to integrate to a selection of card payment providers, all of whom must be PCI DSS and EMV compliant. Information stored on the system must be easily exported into different formats for data analysis and as reference documents. Different levels of reporting should be available e.g., the ability to report by a finished product (recipe) or by an ingredient. There should be reporting capabilities which allows for location-based analytics to analyse sales in each of unit separately.
