Description
The Business Services Organisation (“BSO”) on behalf of Health and Social Care Northern Ireland wishes to procure the delivery, implementation, ongoing support and development of a single regional integrated RIS,PACS and VNA which will operate as a single imaging system with the facility to store, distribute, view and diagnose images both within radiology and those which originate outside of the radiology domain in their native format, to be known as the Northern Ireland Picture Archive and Communications System + Solution (the“NIPACS+ Solution”).

Renewal Options
The duration of the contract will be 10 years with the option for the term to be extended at BSO's discretion by afurther 5 years in 1 year increments.Options will be also required for additional interface development and additional data migration.BSO may exercise an option to implement the epic radiology information system at a still to be determinedtime during the NIPACS+ contract. This may require additional assistance from the NIPACS+ solution supplier.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** The estimated value of the contract £145 million. This figure is inclusive of all options, including extension options.. The core functionality of the NIPACS+ solution will include a regional single integrated RIS/PACS/VNA service for HSCNI and the facility to store, distribute, view and diagnose images both within radiology and those which originate outside of the radiology domain in their native format. In addition to the core functionality the NIPACS+ solution should be capable of extension to include the optional functionality/further options as noted at Section II.2.11). The NIPACS+ solution will be implemented as a single instance across Northern Ireland for use by those involved in the delivery of care on behalf of HSCNI. HSCNI means health and social care services in Northern Ireland being acute and community services provided by the 5 health trusts, ambulance trust, general practitioner surgeries and clinics, health boards and agencies and central government healthcare services organisations (‘HSCNI’)..
