Description
Norfolk County Council with NHS Norfolk and Waveney CCG and Suffolk County Council (for Waveney only) has awarded a contract for a new Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES), as the current contract is due to expire on 30 March 2023.The service provides equipment to enable children and adults who require assistance to perform essential activities of daily living, to maintain their health and autonomy to live as full a life as possible.
Total Quantity or Scope
Additional information: The value given relates to ten years (i.e. the maximum term of the contract). The initial term is 5 years with optional extensions of 3 years followed by a further 2 years. The value is an estimate based on current expenditure and includes £1.5m pa for special equipment and any performance payments.

The equipment and services procured under this contract will be based on the current needs of the population. In addition to the basket of goods, there is a requirement to supply special equipment and there are also payments and credits based on performance of the contract. An amount of £15m pa has been added to the contract price to reflect this.
