Description
Under section 12(1) of the Coroners Act 1959 and rule 24 of the Coroners (Practice and Procedure) Rules (NI) 1963 the Coroner is responsible for having in place suitable arrangements for the conveying of bodies to a mortuary for the purpose of his investigation into the cause of death. 1.2 The Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS), on behalf of the Coroners, seeks to appoint Contractors who will arrange for the conveying of bodies on the direction of the Coroners within Northern Ireland for the following districts: - Lot 1 - District A- Belfast City Lot 2 - District D - Newry Mourne and Down Lot 3 - District E - Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Lot 4 - District F - Mid Ulster Lot 5 - District G - Fermanagh and Omagh Lot 6 - District H - Derry City and Strabane Lot 7 - District J - Causeway Coast and Glens Lot 8 - District K - Mid and East Antrim The Contract term is three (3) years with the option to extend for a further period of up to and including 24 months

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Contract Monitoring. . Contract monitoring: the successful contractor’s performance on the contract will be regularly monitored. Contractors not delivering on contract requirements is a serious matter. It means the public purse is not getting what it is paying for. If a contractor fails to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance they will be given a specified time to improve. If, after the specified time, they still fail to reach satisfactory levels of contract performance, the matter will be escalated to senior management in construction and procurement delivery (CPD) for further action. If this occurs and their performance still does not improve to satisfactory levels within the specified period, this may be considered grounds for termination of the contract at your expense as provided for in the Conditions of Contract. In lieu of termination, CPD may issue a Notice of Written Warning or a Notice of Unsatisfactory Performance. A supplier in receipt of multiple Notices of Written Warning or a Notice of Unsatisfactory Performance may, in accordance with The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended), be excluded from future public procurement competitions for a period of. up to three years..
