INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR TENDERING INVITATION TO TENDER: Demolition of existing Toilet Block, design, and installation of a new modular public toilet at Fairpark Bodmin PL31 1LF. Tenders must be submitted in accordance with the following instructions. Tenders not complying with these instructions, in any way, may be rejected by the Council whose decision on the matter is final. Invitation to Tender PROJECT BRIEF Bodmin Town Council (BTC) is seeking to invite tenders for the demolition and design and build of new modular Toilet facilities at Fairpark Bodmin. The area assigned for development is located on the outskirts of Bodmin (see location map). A budget has been set aside to replace the existing toilet facility. The aim of the project is to demolish and remove the existing toilet block and replace with a Cubicle style toilet. Primarily the Council are seeking one cubicle but will consider the potential of a second cubicle should space and cost allow. Under the works you should allow for: • Development of the brief and specification. • Concept design • Statutory permissions i.e. Planning submission, Building Control. • Preparation of Tender and contract documents • Demolition of the existing facilities. • Manufacture and construction of new facilities • Supplier to take full responsibility to check and ascertain the installation feasibility. The Council is initially seeking expressions of interest from companies to deliver the project from inception to completion. Design The Interiors are required to be highly attractive, while being resistant to vandalism. A minimal amount of stainless steel, preferring solid surface materials and hardened tiles and laminates. Cladding and roofline can be designed to fit into local environment. The Council would expect a minimum 2-year product warranty and a 20-year structural warranty. The Council are seeking to ensure that the replacement cubicle is designed to save costs and minimise energy usage. • All the systems installed use minimum electricity and water • The toilets will only be active when in use and for a short period after. • All lights will be LED • Roof can be green sedum, improving the carbon footprint of the toilet • Cleaning is only required in the cubicle and exterior door. Outline specification for Cubicle and interior Final specifications and colour choices to be discussed with client. Doors: Specialist Public Toilet Door with options for free entry, coin, contactless and access pad entry. • Galvanised and powder coated in RAL Colours • Integrated closer • Quad hinged with recessed closure system. • Strike Lock 12/24V DC door monitoring - improved for user safety & security • Twin Deadlocks to close down cubicle when out of use • Auto lock (am) and unlock (pm), fully adjustable to suit requirements
