Description

Bristol City Council (BCC) wishes to establish a DPS for outdoor public realm childrens' play and youth facilities from design, installation, inspection and maintenance. This will be split in to following Categories: Category 1- Play Equipment Material Supply Category 2 – Play Impact Absorbing Surfacing Material Supply Category 3 – Play Installations and Repair Category 4 - Wheels Areas / Cycle Tracks Installation, Maintenance and Repair Category 5 - Play and Youth Facilities Inspections and Reporting Category 6 – Play Area Design and Project Management

Lot Division

1 Category 1- Play Equipment Material Supply

To include childrens play, youth activity equipment items, play / activity equipment for adults with disabilities, static play items, water play, youth shelters / social gathering areas, Multi-use Games Area (MUGA) fencing and goals ends, table tennis tables, outdoor gyms and trim trail fitness stations (including adult), together with themed seating and bins. There is requirement to offer a selection of specifically designed for need and/or all-inclusive equipment items suitable for people with disabilities.
2 Category 2 – Play Impact Absorbing Surfacing Material Supply

To supply and deliver to depot impact absorbing (safer) surfacing materials, application equipment and consumables for use under fixed outdoor childrens play, youth and adult play / activity equipment suited to local authority housing sites, parks and green space.
3 Category 3 – Play Installations and Repair

Whole site facilities or individual items for fixed outdoor equipped childrens, youth and adult play / exercise areas suited to local authority housing sites, parks and green space.
4 Category 4 - Wheels Areas / Cycle Tracks Installation, Maintenance and Repair

To provide and maintain cycle track / trails (pump/jump/BMX/mountain bike) and wheels/skate park areas suited to public parks and green spaces.
5 Category 5 - Play and Youth Facilities Inspections and Reporting

Inspection of outdoor childrens play and youth facilities in local authority housing sites, parks and green space. Provide specific reports and information as a consultancy.
6 Category 6 – Play Area Design and Project Management

To provide a specialist outdoor fixed play facility landscape design service tailored to innovative play value within the play safety standards applicable to local authority housing sites, parks and green space.
