Description
Since 2013 our vision and challenge for people and communities of Kirklees has been to help create “a district which combines a strong, sustainable economy with a great quality of life – leading to thriving communities, growing businesses, high prosperity and low inequality where people enjoy better health throughout their lives”. This Contract covers 4 areas (Lots): — “Volunteering Support”, — “Infrastructure Support”, — “Specialist Financial Support” and — “Migration Support”. The Contract was awarded for a three year duration (1 April 2018 to 31 March 2021) with an option to extend for a further 24 months.

Legal Justification
The modification does not alter the original nature of the actual service being delivered, but instead builds in further provision to extend the Contract for an additional 12 months to 31/3/24. The modification does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract. The modification is considered by the contracting authority to not be substantial and therefore to be within the exception set out in Regulation 72(1)(e).
