Description

The target of our Climate Emergency Declaration is to become net-zero in our Scope 1 & 2 emissions from our buildings by 2030. Reducing energy and water emissions is crucial to meeting our target. The University intends to appoint a Consultant (or number of Consultants) to help delivery energy reduction strategies.

Total Quantity or Scope

The University of Bristol has declared a Climate Emergency and is committed to becoming net-zero in Scope 1 and 2 Carbon Emissions by 2030. In order to work towards this goal, the University has identified 17 buildings in its portfolio that account for the vast majority of these emissions. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to notify interested parties in the market that the University will be seeking tenders from Consultants to help develop energy reduction strategies for 16 of these 17 buildings. The University would like to invite interested providers to present to us at a Market Engagement session to allow us to understand what resources, systems and tools would be utilised to deliver the services. The session would involve giving a short presentation to key stakeholders from the University and their advisers followed by a question and answer session. Sessions will be held in in early November 2022 at the University of Bristol. due to time constraints, and as we expect to have a lot of interest from the market, we will only be holding six sessions and interested parties will be required to provide a short statement setting out why they should be invited to attend (including details of relevant experience and qualifications). The sessions will be used only to inform the future procurement process and attendance, or non-attendance, at the sessions will not preclude or prejudice future involvement in any subsequent procurement processes. For further information, please email olga.nossenko@bristol.ac.uk by Friday 21st October 2022. Additional information: At present, we have not divided this opportunity into Lots; however, follow any pre-procurement market engagement we will take an informed decision as to the best procurement route to follow. This could be mean dividing the project into Lots, tendering a single contract or procuring via 3rd party frameworks.
