Description

The Authority invited tenders for the transport of waste materials from household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) and a community recycling and reuse centre (CRRC) in Lancashire. The Authority intended to enter into a maximum of three contracts to cover the North, South, and East of the county of Lancashire either using an area lotted solution or a global lot solution. The Eastern Lot consisted of six HWRCs, within the administrative areas of Pendle, Burnley, Ribble Valley, Hyndburn and Rossendale. The Northern Lot consisted of four HWRCs and one CRRC, within the administrative areas of Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde. The Southern Lot consisted of five HWRCs within the administrative areas of Preston, West Lancashire, South Ribble and Chorley. The Global Lot consisted of all the HWRCs and CRRC in the Eastern, Northern, and Southern lots.

Lot Division

1 Eastern Lot

The Eastern Lot consisted of the transportation of waste materials from six HWRCs, within the administrative areas of Pendle, Burnley, Ribble Valley, Hyndburn and Rossendale.

2 Northern Lot

The Northern Lot consisted of transportation of waste materials from four HWRCs and one CRRC, within the administrative areas of Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde.

3 Southern Lot

The Southern Lot consisted of transportation of waste materials from five HWRCs within the administrative areas of Preston, West Lancashire, South Ribble and Chorley.

4 Global Lot

The Global Lot consisted of transporting waste materials from all the HWRCs and CRRC in the Eastern, Northern, and Southern Lots.

Renewal Options

The initial term will take effect on the date of the Agreement, with Services to commence from the Service Commencement Date of 01 April 2023 for a period of 3 years, after such time the Authority may extend the Contract by any number of defined periods, provided that the total duration does not exceed 6 years from the Service Commencement Date.
