Description

In March 2022 Birmingham City Council Cabinet approved the Staying Independent at Home Policy for implementation. This started the journey that we have been on to look at how in the future adaptations, key safes, minor works and other support can be provided to support citizens to stay living independently within their own home. The focus for the wider discretionary support is for those citizens who are being discharged from hospital or where without support would otherwise end up in hospital or residential care unnecessarily.
