Description

Lewisham Council is delighted to announce a market engagement event for the procurement of Adventure Playgrounds services on Wednesday the 23 of November 2022 from 2pm to 4pm. In accordance with Lewisham's Play Strategy, Lewisham Council intends to commission Adventure Playground services. The Borough has five adventure playgrounds namely: • The Dumps( 14 Oakview Road, Bellingham, London SE6, 3QF); • Home Park(Winchfield Road, Lower Sydenham, London, SE26, 5TH); • Honour Oak( Turnham Road, Honor Road, SE4 2HU); Ladywell Fields( End of Malyons Road, • Ladywell, London SE13, 7XW) and Richard MacVicar (New King Street, Deptford, London, SE8 3JB). The Council intends to have Adventure Play services in place by 1 April 2023. The event will focus on the following Adventure Play services to be commissioned: 1. Adventure Playground Play Service at Lewisham's four adventure playgrounds (The Dumps; Home Park; Honour Oak and Ladywell Fields) to be delivered after school, during weekends and school holidays. Please note, Richard MacVicar Adventure Playground is excluded. The expectation will be that Adventure Play Service providers may also be offered a non-repairing lease at a peppercorn rent. 2. Adventure Playground site maintenance and their development. This will involve a provider experienced in adventure playground maintenance to maintain the adventure playground sites to a good standard (excludes buildings). The service will be provided at five of Lewisham's adventure playgrounds (The Dumps; Home Park; Honour Oak; Ladywell Fields and Richard MacVicar) as well as support commissioned Adventure Play service providers to develop their offer by maximising the use of adventure playground ( e.g. by engaging with other community groups/commercial providers) and fundraising opportunities. The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage with the Council to: • understand the Council's intentions and desired outcomes for the Adventure Playgrounds • share operational experiences and identify potential challenges for the providers in delivering the required outcomes • discuss opportunities for innovation It is anticipated that there will be a presentation of brief introduction and a summary of the procurement process from officers followed by an open-floor discussion that will form the major part of the session. To express your interest in attending the event please register on the London Tender Portal, proving the names and roles of those attending from your organization by the deadline of 12 noon Tuesday 22nd November 2022.
