Description

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Coal Authority (CA) are seeking to procure an "EMISSIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING SOFTWARE (ESRS)" platform. The successful Supplier will work with BEIS and CA to deliver a viable ESRS platform, capable of ingesting and converting data for the purposes of data visualisation, insights and sustainability reporting. It is expected that multiple forms of data translation will be available, from usage of Application Programming Interfaces, Secure File Transfers and direct data entry into the platform. Key data sources include but are not limited to: - Greening Government Commitment (GGC) data, spanning gas, electricity, water, travel and waste. - Spend data, with the Supplier being well-versed in converting data to suitable 'Environmentally Extended Input-Output' industry-average analysis, building on Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards. An optional advisory support package linked to the provision of data interpretation, insight and sustainability expertise also forms part of the requirement. It is critical the successful Supplier is capable regarding environmental reporting and has access to sustainability expertise. The need for this project is 'solution heavy, advisory light', with the establishment of a 'one-stop shop' to enable both BEIS and CA to identify material sustainability interventions and understand emissions hotspots. We are seeking to deploy an independent yet interoperable data platform across BEIS and CA organisational boundaries. Maturing our data is an important feature of the requirement and we expect the in-house ability to introduce new datasets, such as through overwrite functionality of industry average data. To summarise, the broad outcomes sought are to: - Track realised performance against targets and various baselines - Identify leverage points and hotspots requiring targeted action - Integrate our reporting across all areas - Achieve an impact-based decision-making lens through effective reporting insights
