Description

We are procuring a COTS Sieverts apparatus for use with tritium which is a corrosive and radioactive gas. This apparatus does not contain any plastic or fluorinated plastic materials which are contact with the analysis gas and has pumps which can be easily replaced for tritium compatible pumps by agreement with the UKAEA. The apparatus has the capability to measure at a temperature range of 75K – 773K accessible via a furnace/heating jacket and cryogen free cryocooler, and pressures from 0.05 bar – 200 bar with a booster to expand the lifetime of a gas bottle. This apparatus minimises the overall system volume including a sample volume of 4ml and uses fine metering valves to limit the flow of gas around the analyser for safety. There is an accompanying software that does isotherm analysis and comes with an expansion volume for measuring hydriding kinetics. The apparatus is ready and available to purchase immediately with very few changes to the existing design.
