Description

The University owns Wyndhurst Farm in North Somerset; a 128 hectare farm with a dairy herd of 200 cattle (plus followers) and a flock of 100 sheep. The current contract for Farm Management expires in July 2023 and following this market consultation, we intend be going out to tender, for a contract to start August 2023.

Total Quantity or Scope

The University owns Wyndhurst Farm in North Somerset; a 128 hectare farm with a dairy herd of 200 cattle (plus followers) and a flock of 100 sheep. The current contract for Farm Management expires in July 2023 and following this market consultation, we intend be going out to tender, for a contract to start August 2023. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to notify interested parties that the University are seeking market expertise and opinions on the most practical and efficient way to manage Wyndhurst Farm into the future; therefore would like to invite interested parties to present to us at a Market Engagement Session to allow us to understand the best way to achieve that. The session would involve giving a short informal presentation to key staff from the University followed by a general discussion, including any questions etc. Sessions will be held at Langford House, Wyndhurst Farm, Langford Rd, Bristol BS40 5HY on the 5th January from 9am-5pm. For further information or if you would like to be invited for one of these sessions, please respond to this notice with a short statement setting out your relevant experience to olga.nossenko@bristol.ac.uk by Monday 19th December 2022. In the event that we are oversubscribed, we will select the respondents whose experience we deem is most relevant to the University's requirements. The sessions will be used only to inform the future procurement process and your attendance, or non-attendance, at the sessions will not preclude or prejudice future involvement in any subsequent procurement processes.

This notice is not a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or works for the University. The University is not obliged to follow up the soft market testing in any way or with any interested parties and it is not liable for any costs or expenses incurred by any party. Following the soft market testing, the University may terminate the process and conclude the procurement by other means. Interested parties will not be prejudiced by any response, or failure to respond, to the market testing. A response to this Prior Information Notice does not guarantee any invitation to participate in this soft market testing exercise or any future public procurement process. Any procurement of any contract by the University will be carried out in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
