Description

This contract is for the operation, management and maintenance of household waste recycling centres (HWRCs). The service currently includes for twelve (12) HWRCs at fixed locations and one Mobile HWRC across County Durham. One of the fixed locations incorporates a re-use shop and a small Commercial Waste Facility.

Renewal Options

The expected start date for the proposed contract is 1st November 2023. The expected end date for the proposed contract is 31st March 2032. The proposed contract is to be let with an option to extend by any number of further periods, provided that such further period(s) are for a minimum of twelve (12) months and do not total more than four (4) years.
