Description
The In Career Education and Training Project at the University of Suffolk has secured funding through the European Social Fund to deliver high quality, digital skills training and leadership and management training. This procurement exercise is to source accredited providers to deliver this training in 2023. The objective is to upskill individuals, SMEs, charities, and larger organisations principally from Suffolk and Norfolk though participants may also be from further afield – particularly where courses are being delivered online. The project is measured through certain auditable outputs including supporting groups such as those with a disability, ethnic minorities, over 50s and one of the overarching targets is enhancing the labour market status for women through the provision of specialist Leadership and Management skills training.

1 | Leadership and management courses | up to 1 day duration
Leadership and Management courses proposed should tackle at least one of the challenges below: Support leaders and managers in organisations to become sustainable and to capitalise on potential growth. Support leadership to communicate effectively with their team, creating a strong environment for teamwork. Enable effective Change Management. Developing resilience within the organisation. Support the embedding of proven Project Management techniques within the organisation. Help develop internal and external customer service. Courses may be delivered face to face (Ipswich or Norfolk) or online. |
2 | Leadership and management courses | two to five days duration

3 | Digital Innovation Courses | up to 1 day duration
To deliver high quality digital skills training. In line with the requirements of ICET we would expect to see training that assists the post-Covid ways of working; for example, supporting the use of existing digital tools and techniques to manage a workforce that is not office-based and keeping the company safe from cyber-threats. Digital skills could include well known Project Management Qualifications, where the use of online tools is an integral part of the learning. Digital skills could also include Digital Marketing as significant respondents highlighted a need. |
