Description

Utilising the Prior Information Notice as a Call for Competition procedure, Brighton & Hove City Council is inviting expressions of interest from providers for the delivery of Community Pharmacy Locally Commissioned Services ('LCS').

Total Quantity or Scope

These services are a collection of Public Health support services that are funded by the Public Health grant and are commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council Public Health Service. The Contract/s shall be for a term of three (3) years, with two further optional extension periods of three (3) years each. The Service/s shall commence on the 1st of April 2023. The budget for the Services is agreed annually and is estimated as £0.537m for the first three year period of the Contract, or approximately £0.179m per year. Payment for the Services shall be against a set schedule of rates and will be paid against activity delivered. Budgets are monitored quarterly and if necessary, thresholds will be set per provider to prevent activity exceeding overall budget. The Services included in the Community Pharmacy LCS are: (1) the Community Pharmacy stop smoking service which covers the generic adult smoking cessation service, plus the following: (a) the Young Persons Stop Smoking Service, (b) the Nicotine Replacement Therapy Voucher Scheme, and (c) the Provision of Varenicline on Patient Group Direction, (2) the Sexual Health and Contraceptive Service; emergency hormonal contraception plus advice, C-Card condoms plus, chlamydia tests, and as an additional optional service chlamydia treatment, (3) the Healthy Living Pharmacy service to improve uptake and access of health improvement services and advice, health campaigns. Interested providers are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest via email to procurement@brighton-hove.gov.uk by the closing date identified in this notice. The Contract/s will be awarded by competitive procedure with negotiation without further publication. Tender documents will be provided to providers that have expressed an interest after the closing date identified in this notice. For the avoidance of doubt, before the closing date, no other information or documentation is available to providers for review other than that provided in this notice.
