Description

Framework for Data collection, and next generation digital systems

Lot Division

1 Fully managed edge/cloud hybrid deployments
  • Value: £350K

A cloud/edge solution to facilitate selective processing of data from the data historian of Lot 4 either locally or within the cloud utilising established managed services. A deployment at multiple sites is desirable so please state deployment costs on a ‘per site basis’ where possible. CPI is seeking an innovative solution that (if possible) is agnostic to the cloud platform provider and that provides the option for CPI’s clients to link-up their corporate cloud account to our hybrid deployment, thus allowing all data streams to be channelled directly to their own data lake (for example)

2 Data Hub and Namespace creation & operationalisation
  • Value: £250K

The purpose of this lot is to utilise the open-source namespace framework developed by AMRC and integrate the packaging rig within a data-hub (See https://factoryplus.app.amrc.co.uk/ for a full description of the framework). Alternative approaches to a purely opensource solution will be considered providing the overall philosophy of the framework is upheld. Where possible, multiple options for the hardware and connectivity modules stated in the URS should be suppled.

3 Data historian creation and operationalisation (including software licensing)
  • Value: £150K

A standardised data historian including process monitoring software that can be configured by an automation engineer to interface with the PLCs, IPCs, and SCADA/DCS system that comprises the packaging line. Please provide multiple, best in class, options for monitoring/historian software, along with a number of hardware options that are reasonable, based on the value of this lot

4 Technical support and consultancy
  • Value: £100K

The purpose of this Lot is to provide CPI with technical consultancy and support across all of the themes covered by Lots 1-3 and provide a means for reviewing implementation plans, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and overall systems architecture
