Description

The FCDO is holding an Early market Engagement (EME) for forthcoming South Sudan Education Programme on 30th January 2023 to provide; an overview and understanding of the programme; discuss different experiences and approaches; understand the market strengths and weaknesses and learn from the market to shape elements of the programme. It will also allow potential suppliers to engage and provide innovative ideas. The South Sudan Education Programme is the successor to phase one and two of the Girls Education South Sudan (GESS) programme, which has been running since 2012. The anticipated budget is up to £90 million, and we anticipate a continuation of the current multi donor model. The programme seeks to support the provision of essential education services, particularly to girls and children living with disabilities, and enhance the linkages with other UK and wider sector efforts to improve education access and quality. In addition, the programme will work in partnership with the UK’s country-led health programme to test approaches to integrate girls’ education and adolescent sexual, reproductive health and rights (ASRHR) provision to address the unmet needs of adolescent girls.
