Description

Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Constabulary is looking for suitable organisations who can design, build and supply up to 2 Rigid (Hulled) Inflatable Boats (RIBs) to meet requirements. The build of the vessels must be fully compliant with the latest version of the Police Boat Codes. Successful supplier must build, test and deliver the first vessel within 6 months of contracts being signed and the second vessel should be delivered by the end of March 2024. The full requirements are set out within the procurement documents which are downloadable free of charge from In-tend. Contract duration is expected to be 2 years to permit the design build and delivery of both vessels. Warranty periods will remain after initial expiry.

Renewal Options

Purchase: Both vessels are anticipated to be delivered within 12 months of Contract Award. That said, there is scope to extend the build period by up to 12 months to ensure that the final boat can be built and delivered, although it is hoped that this will not be needed. Both the minimum warranty period and any extended warranty period shall extend beyond the build period.

Interested parties should register their interest in the project via the In-tend website https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire and complete and submit their tender return document together with any supporting information requested by the submission deadline. ** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** Contract value is anticipated to be up to £400,000 for the design, build and delivery of both vessels, including minimum warranty periods. It is hoped that this will also include any extended warranty. Should this not be the case, there is scope to increase the contract value as below. The contract may, subject to a test under Regulation 72 of the Public Contracts Regulations, be increased by up to £50,000 (subject to budgetary approval) for non-material changes which have become necessary. For example, unforeseen increase in build costs, supply chain matters which result in a need to redesign the boat and/ or to enable the purchase of an extended warranty offer.
