Description

This is a retender of the international emergency medical assistance contract as the current contract expires at the end of May 2023 with no further options to extend. The service provides advice and assistance to BBC employees and freelancers travelling overseas on BBC business. The service will include the provision of assistance in the event of a medical emergency. - e.g. advice on where to find medical assistance and remote intervention into the provision of appropriate care, settling medical bills directly wherever possible and/or arranging medical evacuation. The service also provide pre-deployment reports for territories to which BBC personnel may be deployed, highlighting notable local risks and giving useful emergency information.

Renewal Options

The initial term of the contract will be 36 months with two (2) additional optional extension periods of 12 months.

However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law.
