Description
This service provides accommodation-based support for children between the age of 16 -25 years in a 21 bed property in Camden. The service provides the first two stages of the Young People's Pathway, assessment and progress, is staffed 24 hours and is needs led. Young people in the service will complete the steps to develop the skills to live independently.
Total Quantity or Scope
The Council carried out a robust negotiation process which required Centrepoint Soho to submit a proposal in response to the award criteria. Their proposal had to score a minimum of 3 out 5 in response to each award criteria question. The proposal was scored by experienced officers which were moderated by the Procurement Team before approval to award could be granted.

Indicators
Legal Justification
The long term availability of the property is yet to be decided. To minimise disruption to the service and the young people, carrying out a robust negotiation process as an interim measure was deemed as the most appropriate approach at this stage. The Young People's Pathway is currently being reviewed and it is anticipated that this contract, which is 30 months in duration, will provide sufficient time to address not only the property issue but also to agree the future of the pathway.
