PURCH2220 FOR THE PROVISION OF SEMI-PROFESSIONAL BENCHTOP CNC EQUIPMENT, MILLING MACHINE & LATHE Lot 1 – CNC Lathe We would like to purchase semi-professional benchtop CNC equipment, one milling machine and one lathe to be used, inter alia, in a redesigned ENG3017 Mechanical Design 3, ENG4153 Mechatronic Team Project, and as ‘drop-in’ equipment in the Tuck Workshop / Makerspace facility for other student project work. ~380 students per year will benefit from this resource. We plan to purchase one CNC lathe and two 3-axis CNC mills to replace obsolete equipment, to be located in the mechanical workshop, to give students the opportunity to interact with technical experts to carry out and specify manufacture of state of art equipment for honours and masters work.
