Job Title: Legal Assistant Rate of Pay: £17.06 per hour Hours: 37 hours Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. Brief description: At Sandwell Council we are progressive, dynamic, and dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We now wish to recruit a Legal Assistant (Employment) in our Civil and Business team who shares our vision. The ideal candidate will have 2 years practical experience of employment law working within a legal team or equivalent environment. Some experience of providing advice and assistance in relation to employment cases including employment tribunal case management and preparing settlement agreements. Qualification: 5 GCSE's or 'O' levels, grade C and above (or equivalent), including English Language as a minimum The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will gain considerable exposure to a varied workload with a high level of responsibility and extensive client contact. Sandwell is in the heart of the Midlands and 10 minutes train ride from the centre of Birmingham and is a rapidly expanding, vibrant and diverse place to live, work and play. No DBS is required, inside of IR35.
