We are holding a Meet the Buyer event from 12:30pm on Wednesday 19th April at the Ask Centre, 9 Water Street, Rhyl LL18 1SP. This is to introduce the forthcoming tender for the recommissioning of Denbighshire’s Families First services. Denbighshire County Council proposes to re-tender our Families First commissioned services to ensure a portfolio of support for families in the areas of Mental Health & Wellbeing (separate provision for Children, Young People and Adults), Additional Needs, Domestic Abuse and Family Relationships. Families First services are funded from the Welsh Government Children and Communities Grant to support children, young people and families. 1 | Mental Health and Wellbeing (Children) Support for children within families to improve their mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Support for individual children will be delivered within the context of a wider whole family approach under the coordination of Denbighshire’s Team Around the Family (TAF). Support will be consistent with a collaborative communication approach and will be strengths-based, person-centred and outcomes-focussed. Services will comply with Welsh Government Families First Guidance and the requirements of Denbighshire’s Integrated Families First/Flying Start Programme. 2 | Mental Health and Wellbeing (Young People) Support for young people to improve their mental and emotional health and wellbeing and – where necessary – to address wider issues related to wellbeing and welfare as appropriate to young people’s needs. Support will be delivered under the coordination of Denbighshire’s Team Around the Family (TAF). Wherever appropriate to the circumstances of young people, this will reflect a whole family approach. Support will be consistent with a collaborative communication approach and will be strengths-based, person-centred and outcomes-focussed. Services will comply with Welsh Government Families First Guidance and the requirements of Denbighshire’s Integrated Families First/Flying Start Programme. 3 | Mental Health and Wellbeing (Adults) Support for adults within families to improve their mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Support for individual adults will be delivered within the context of a wider whole family approach under the coordination of Denbighshire’s Team Around the Family (TAF). Support will be consistent with a collaborative communication approach and will be strengths-based, person-centred and outcomes-focussed. Services will comply with Welsh Government Families First Guidance and the requirements of Denbighshire’s Integrated Families First/Flying Start Programme. 4 | Additional Needs Support for families with needs relating to, for example: Autism Spectrum Condition and similar conditions; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; Learning Disabilities; Mental Health conditions; Physical Disabilities; Chronic Illness. Support will be delivered as part of a whole family approach under the coordination of Denbighshire’s Team Around the Family (TAF). Support will be consistent with a collaborative communication approach and will be strengths-based, person-centred and outcomes-focussed. Services will comply with Welsh Government Families First Guidance and the requirements of Denbighshire’s Integrated Families First/Flying Start Programme. 5 | Domestic Abuse Support for children and young people who have witnessed domestic abuse; for young people who are/have been in an abusive relationship; and for non- abusive parents. Support will be delivered as part of a whole family approach under the coordination of Denbighshire’s Team Around the Family (TAF). Support will be consistent with a collaborative communication approach and will be strengths-based, person- centred and outcomes focussed. Services will comply with Welsh Government Families First Guidance and the requirements of Denbighshire’s Integrated Families First/Flying Start Programme. 6 | Family Relationships Support for families to resolve conflicts by promoting resilience, building on strengths and empowering them to use their own assets and resources.
