Description

Biological Sciences and NBIC require a pulsed white light laser (WLL) confocal microscope. WLL microscopes provide several unique capabilities that are mission critical for our ongoing research, especially the capability of removing the innate auto-fluorescence that currently renders several key assays impossible when imaging biofilms (NBIC), invertebrate laboratory models for neurodegeneration (SoBS) and plants for food security research (SoBS). The WLL also provides the unique ability to perform spectroscopy on both the absorption and emission spectra of microscope specimens with 1 nm precision of wavelength, measure pH and ionic concentration in vivo, and also measure single-molecule interactions using FLIM within a single integrated laser package.
