Description

Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) are looking to commission its Community Support and Supported Living services and would like to hear from organisations who have experience in this area of provision. This is not an invitation to tender. Following previous market engagement events in 2022, BHCC warmly invites you to take part in our Market Engagement Event for potential and existing providers of Community Support and Supported Living services. The purpose of this event will be to: - Share with you our strategic vision and priorities for the development of Community Support and Supported Living provision in BHCC. - Update on the proposed procurement route and indicative timetable - Gain feedback on the proposed pricing model for the future procurement Any interested organisation or consortium with the experience, capability and capacity to deliver Community Support or Supported Living services as laid out in this PIN notice may register for the Market Engagement Event. BHCC welcomes collaborations and partnerships organised within a lead provider model. The detailed service requirements are still in development, and information gathered from this Market Event will inform the draft tender pack as well as the procurement process. The Market Engagement Event will be facilitated by PeopleToo on behalf of BHCC.

Total Quantity or Scope

Our Context: The Brighton & Hove commissioning strategy is to reduce the number of people being placed in residential care, placed out of the city and in long term services that do not meet their needs. Supported Living and Community Support are effective in meeting this goal. The Council is committed to working collaboratively with providers to develop a high-quality provision that contributes to improved outcomes for our residents. Through the new commission, BHCC aims to: • Continue to work with providers with existing placements and transition them to the new service specification and terms and conditions to ensure alignment with the new DPS to be let later in 2023 • Attract new providers to the market and create a more diverse market that provides more choice for people. • Ensure a strengths-based approach that focus on outcomes for people who receive support. • Enable the Council to meet the care and support needs of residents who have been assessed as having eligible social care needs in line with the Care Act 2014 These services are listed under Schedule 3 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and any subsequent competition will be undertaken in accordance with the "Light Touch Regime". Additional information: Potential and existing providers wishing to attend should reply via eventbrite: (link below) by 10am Friday 12th May 2023. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/community-support-and-supported-living-market-eng... This event will be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 16th May 2023 at 10:30am - 12:30pm. Any interested organisation or consortium with the experience, capability and capacity to deliver the ambition laid out in this PIN notice may register for the market engagement event. BHCC welcome collaborations and partnerships organised within a lead provider model. Please note that attendance will be limited to 3 attendees per organisation. We will be providing more information, including the event agenda and meeting invites w/c 15th May 2023. We are very much looking forward to seeing you, Brighton and Hove City Council Commissioning Team Please note: An expression of interest to attend or participate in this Market Engagement Event is no indication of a commitment to participate in the future tender process nor does it infer any special status on those Providers who do attend. Any procurement conducted as a result of this market engagement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the advertisement as and when it is published.
