Description

Oldham Council (lead authority) wish to appoint a Supplier to provide treasury advisory services on behalf of the following authorities: - Bolton Council - Bury Council - Greater Manchester Combined Authorities - Manchester City Council - Oldham Council - Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council - Salford City Council - Stockport Council - Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council - Trafford Council - Warrington Borough Council - Chorley Council

Total Quantity or Scope

The role of the Supplier is to work with a number of authorities linked to the Greater Manchester area. It will involve working with treasury management staff to add value to its treasury management activities and ensure that each authority complies with the CIPFA Prudential and Treasury Management Codes. There should be clear benefits for each authority participating in the form of; better decisions, savings from cheaper borrowing, savings from debt restructuring, improved investment returns, more robust systems and procedures, and skills transfer from the consultant to the authority. It is envisaged that the financial benefits to each authority participating will substantially outweigh the cost of contract.
