Description

Marine Scotland operate five vessels, of which MRV Scotia is used for scientific research. MRV Scotia was built at Ferguson’s Shipyard, Port Glasgow and was launched in 1998. She is 68 metres in length and has a gross tonnage of 2,619. She has a crew of 17-18, a top speed of 13 knots and is used for offshore scientific operations. An approximate timetable for MRV Scotia’s refit and the type of refit required is March 2024 and March 2025.
