This prior information notice is being published to indicate Thanet District Council’s intention to commence market engagement with organisations within the ports and harbours market. The Council is intending to undertake a procurement process to attract and secure a port operator for two primary roll on/roll off (ro-ro) berths at the Port of Ramsgate and associated port side land by way of a services concession.

Total Quantity or Scope

Thanet District Council is the statutory harbour authority for the Port of Ramsgate. It is intending to undertake a procurement process for the award of a concession contract for the provision of services relating to the operation, equipping, promotion, management and maintenance of two primary roll on/roll off berths at the Port of Ramsgate. The arrangements will be structured as a services concession and the procurement will be conducted in accordance with the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 (as amended).
