Other Information

OPSS are seeking to engage with suppliers with the right competency to test six (6) product types across five (5) lots to determine their efficiency and compliance with the Retained EU Regulations - in designated British Standards, where applicable. The testing budget across all 5 Lots is £330,000. It may be necessary to complete additional testing on any non-compliant items, and so the maximum total contract value for each contract will be Lot 1: Solid Fuel Local Space Heaters - £140,000; Lot 2: Household Tumble Dryers & Washer Dryers - £540,000; Lot 3 : Electric Motors- £100,000; Lot 4: Residential Ventilation Units - £300,000; and Lot 5: Fridge Freezers - £240,000, making a total of £1,320,000 across all Lots. This will allow OPSS to focus on non-compliances that are of particular concern. Under these circumstances this will of course mean there is less spend in some of the contracts if OPSS chooses to focus additional testing on a particular contract. There will be no obligation to undertake testing to reach the maximum budget. Suppliers are strongly encouraged to read the text at the following link in order to gain a full understanding of the role of the enforcement services within OPSS: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/national-regulation-enforcement-services We would like to invite prospective bidders to attend a pre-market engagement session on 04/07/2023 at 10.30 via MS Teams.
