Description
NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) are considering their commissioning options for a 8 - 10 bedded crisis house in Bristol for men and trans men who would otherwise require an acute stay. This includes men avoiding an admission and men who may need a stay as part of a step down from an inpatient stay. The service will form part of the BNSSG crisis pathway and will require partnership working with AWP crisis and community teams. The anticipated annual contract value of the Service is circa £440,000. Commissioners wish to understand the level of interest in this service from the and invite suitably qualified and experienced providers to complete the attached engagement questionnaire to understand the opportunities and barriers within Bristol and to assist Commissioners developing their commissioning approach and service specification. The vision of this service is to: • work with people experiencing significant emotional distress and a period of crisis in their mental health • work collaboratively with clinical services and other system partners to support flow through the BNSSG acute and crisis pathway. • co-produce and embed lived experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of services; • deliver inclusive services which meet the needs of our diverse population in BNSSG and actively working to address inequalities and improve outcomes (including improved qualitative/quantitative data capture and analysis); • provide a less restrictive environment than an acute bed enabling people to maintain their social networks and activities of daily living skills • support the BNSSG system to maintain flow through the acute pathway maximising acute bed capacity and helping to keep people who do need acute beds within BNSSG
