Description

The University of Strathclyde (the “University”) is seeking to establish a framework agreement to support the delivery of minor works for the following activities outlined below; - Minor capital & maintenance works, refurbishment and fit-outs, including projects based within accommodation / residence settings, listed buildings, laboratory environments, and with a heavy building services focus, between a value of GBP 0 - 6,000,000; - These will be all trades contracts, including downtakings, joinery, building, plastering, decoration, ceilings, partitioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air conditioning, flooring, fire and security alarms, BMS controls etc; and

Total Quantity or Scope

The Candidate will be required to provide examples that demonstrate that they have the relevant experience to deliver the services/supplies as described in part II.2.4 of the OJEU Contract Notice or the relevant section of the Site Notice. The Candidate should use the template provided for them to answer the Technical and Professional ability question 4C.1 of their SPD response. The below scoring methodology will be applied to the question. Excellent response - 4 Response is completely relevant and excellent overall. The response is comprehensive, unambiguous and demonstrates thorough experience, knowledge or skills/capacity/capability relevant to providing similar services to similar clients. Good response - 3 Response is relevant and good. The response is sufficiently detailed to demonstrate a good amount of experience, knowledge or skills/capacity/capability relevant to providing similar services to similar clients. Acceptable response - 2 Response is relevant and acceptable. The response demonstrates broad previous experience, knowledge and skills/capacity/capability but may lack in some aspects of similarity e.g. previous experience, knowledge or skills may not be of a similar nature. Poor response - 1 Response is partially relevant but generally poor. The response shows some elements of relevance to the criterion but contains insufficient/limited detail or explanation to demonstrate previous relevant experience/ capacity/capability. Unacceptable (Nil or Inadequate response) – 0 Nil or inadequate response. Fails to demonstrate previous experience/capacity/capability relevant to this criterion. This question will be scored by a technical panel made up of representatives from the Contracting Authority. Once all scores are agreed, an average score will be applied to all questions. Please note, the Candidate must score a minimum of two for all questions, as per the scoring methodology, otherwise their offer may be deemed non-compliant and will not be considered further. Renewal Options

The contract duration is 24-months, with the option to extend for up to an additional two 12-month periods. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise the extension periods at its discretion.

- Please note, the University reserves the right to procure projects above GBP 6,000,000. Please note, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is also also participating in this Framework, and may choose to use this agreement as per their requirements. ** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** The Candidate is advised that the envisaged maximum number of participants that might be appointed to the proposed Framework set out in section IV.1.3 of this Contract Notice is purely indicative. The University of Strathclyde reserves the right to appoint more or less participants than the envisaged number. In line with regulation 72 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this Contract may be modified without a new procurement procedure in accordance with this Part in some cases.
