Description
Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB (BOB) is reviewing the provision of Urgent Care within Buckinghamshire and will be holding a market engagement event in August to discuss plans with interested suppliers. Currently BOB has a multitude of access points to urgent and emergency care services with uncertainty and inconsistency across the delivery of care and is looking to integrate urgent care services to deliver a single, effective model of same day care bringing together: - The Urgent Treatment Centre at Wycombe Hospital - The Urgent Treatment Centre Pathway at Stoke Mandeville Hospital - Out of Hours Service - Primary Care Clinical Assessment Service (receiving all 111 Primary Care in-hours dispositions on behalf of Buckinghamshire GP Practices). This new integrated service contract is planned to start on Monday 1st July 2024 through a competitive procurement process seeking a single provider to deliver integrated Urgent Care Services for the Buckinghamshire population. A potential contract term of 5 + 2 years is being considered. The successful provider will demonstrate the ability to deliver an integrated urgent care service across the Buckinghamshire place working closely and collaboratively with our existing services including the Acute Trust, Primary Care, Ambulance Service and 111 as well as any other service providers to support long term sustainable Urgent and Emergency Care transformation across the Buckinghamshire footprint.
