Job Title: Caseworker (Housing Disrepair) Rate of Pay: £14.17 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. Brief description: At Sandwell Council we are progressive, dynamic and dedicated to meeting the needs of our community. We now wish to recruit a caseworker - Housing Disrepair who shares our vision. The post-holder will be required to work alongside the Solicitor - Housing Disrepair in the Civil and Business team. The ideal candidate should have one years' recent practical experience of working within a busy legal office supporting lawyers. Local government experience would be an advantage due to the nature of the work although not essential. The case worker will have responsibility for co-ordination of cases and case files, preparation and monitoring of all case files, disclosure and getting matters ready for court where necessary. This role would be suitable for someone who can demonstrate the ability to deal with a high and varied caseload, with excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients. Sandwell is in the heart of the Midlands and 10 minutes train ride from the centre of Birmingham and is a rapidly expanding, vibrant and diverse place to live, work and play.
