This procurement is in respect of the Kirklees Health and Care Partnership 12 Lead ECG Remote Interpretation Service.

Total Quantity or Scope

The authority is seeking to secure the provision of a 12 Lead ECG Remote Interpretation Service, by commissioning this service, it is anticipated that the following outcomes will be achieved: • Improved clinical outcomes for service users • Improved service user experience of cardiac care • Delivery of a fast, comprehensive service that is cost effective • Freeing-up of clinician time in general practice • Surety that ECG readings are interpreted by subject experts, whereas GPs may not see ECGs regularly enough to confidently interpret the hundreds of possible variations • Avoidance of unnecessary referrals of service users to secondary care • Consistency of service provision across Kirklees. 1.3 The clinical objective of the service is to provide service users access to ECG testing, interpretation and reporting within a primary care setting to ensure prompt diagnosis and condition management.
