Description

NHS NW London ICB is considering procuring a contract for the provision of medicine management tools to optimise prescribing and medicine related care to patients. The aim of the service is to provide NHS North West London ICB Medicines Management team with access to reliable, trusted, evidence-based support and resources and tools that improve medicines-related care to patients. NHS NW London ICB currently has an arrangement in place with PrescQIPP CIC to deliver the above services. PrescQIPP CIC is an NHS funded not-for-profit organisation that supports quality, optimised prescribing for patients. With subscriber input and collaboration across NHS organisation, the platform provides system wide support across the ICB and it's ICS members to benefit from insightful resource provision. The purpose of this notice is to be transparent about NHS NW London's intention to explore options to procure this service and to undertake a further competition, if possible. NHS NW London ICB is currently of the view that this is a niche service and PrescQIPP CIC is the only capable provider that is best placed to successfully deliver this service. As such, should PrescQIPP CIC be the only capable provider, it is NHS NW London ICB's intention to award a further contract (NHS Standard contract-short form) to PrescQIPP CIC from 1st October 2023 for up to 2 years and 6 months (estimated value, £65,500.00 per annum). Key Service Requirements include: • An NHS resource that provides data and evidence-based resources that supports the MM Team in their delivery of efficiencies as well as optimising medicine use within primary care and ensuring that prescribing is of high-quality and as safe as possible. • Examples of the above include: - Webkits (with practical tools and materials such as patient information and letters, pathways and audits) - Bulletins and briefings (with clinical evidence, information and guidance about a range of treatments and conditions) - Data and analysis (to help commissioners benchmark their activity and identify where they can make the biggest difference) - Clinical webinars (to support learning on a variety of relevant topics) - Clinical masterclasses - Horizon scanning - Primary care rebates • An ISO 9001: 2015 certified organisation that is also registered with the BSI. Capable providers may come forward by 17:00 on 9th August 2023 to engage with the ICB via nhsnwl.contracting@nhs.net - In your response to this opportunity, in up to 500 words, kindly demonstrate and describe ready and available solution that meets the set out key requirements above. The NHS NW London ICB is committed to assess the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it needs to secure the needs of the people who use the services, and improve the quality and efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way.
