Job title: Senior Information Governance and Investigations Officer Rate of pay: ?19.85 - ?22.56 per hour (Inside IR35) Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Hybrid/Oldbury Council House Start date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary (Agency) 8 weeks with a view to extend Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are looking for a Senior Information Governance Officer to join our busy and supportive Governance and Regulatory team. The postholder will provide advice and guidance in relation to FOIs/SARs and wider data protection matters across the Council. The successful candidate will have 5 years' experience of working in a complex environment, including 2 years' experience of information governance, or data protection. The successful candidate will be expected to o Provide advice in relation to complex requests under Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004 o Provide advice in relation to UK GDPR and compliance with Individual Rights. o Lead on specific project work relating to information governance within the team o Conduct data breach investigations in order to determine whether they are reportable to the ICO in conjunction with the DPO. o Be an active member of the Council's Information Governance Board and support and promote high standards of information governance across the Council
