Description

NHS Shared Business Services act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS authorises to use the resulting Framework. NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) has put in place a Framework Agreement for the provision of Goods and Services related to Drugs of Abuse and Point of Care Testing. The Framework Agreement includes 8 lots: Lot 1 - Rapid Drug Testing Kits Lot 2 - Back to Lab Testing Lot 3 - Pandemic Testing Lot 4 - Blood Borne Virus (BBV) and Liver Function Testing Lot 5 - Dried Blood Spot Drug & Alcohol Testing Lot 6 - Alcohol Testing Devices, including Breath Analysers, Continuous Monitoring and Associated Consumables Lot 7 - Operational Outsourcing of Services Lot 8 - Family Law Services

Lot Division

1 Rapid Drug Testing Kits

Lot 1 - For the provision of Rapid Drug Testing Kits - includes point of care testing kits, strips and reagents that will detect the presence of drugs and/or alcohol in a person, producing real time results.
2 Back to Lab Testing

Lot 2 - For the provision of Back to Lab Testing - includes the collection of donor samples (including, but not limited to: nail, hair and blood) which are sent back to the laboratory to confirm the presence of drugs and/or alcohol.
3 Pandemic Testing

Lot 3 - For the provision of Pandemic Testing - includes rapid or back to lab testing for Covid - 19, or future pandemics.
4 Blood Borne Virus (BBV) and Liver Function Testing

Lot 4 - For the provision of Blood Borne Virus (BBV) and Liver Function Testing - includes tests for BBV's such as HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. Also includes the collection of blood samples to carry out Liver Function Tests to aid diagnosis and monitoring of liver disease or damage.
5 Dried Blood Spot Drug & Alcohol Testing

Lot 5 - For the provision of Dried Blood Spot Drug & Alcohol Testing - includes testing for Peth - a mid to long-term alcohol biomarker, and psychoactive drugs.
6 Alcohol Testing Devices, including Breath Analysers, Continuous Monitoring and Associated Consumables

Lot 6 - For the provision of Alcohol Testing Devices, including Breath Analysers, Continuous Monitoring and Associated Consumables - includes devices for testing the presence of alcohol and levels of alcohol in people.
7 Operational Outsourcing of Services

Lot 7 - Operational Outsourcing of Services - includes the outsourcing of all or part of an Approved Organisations Drugs of Abuse and Point of Care Testing requirements.
8 Family Law Services

Lot 8 - For the provision of Family Law Services - includes DNA Testing, Drug and/or Alcohol Testing for use in child-protection cases when parental substance misuse is a contributing factor, and expert witness services.
