Description

CPI is a leading independent technology innovation centre and a founding member of the UK Government's High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which supports businesses and academia to help them overcome innovation challenges in the development of next generation products and processes by providing the facilities, in depth technical expertise and innovation support to enable ideas, research and knowledge to be translated into commercial business propositions. Over the last few years, CPI have been continuing to develop printable electronic circuitry using screen printing for pattering conductive silver, and dielectric inks. This has now extended into using screen printing techniques for printing sensor elements for inclusion into larger structures such as batteries. Rotary screen printing is the preferred scale-up route for moving to a continuous system; CPI currently has a SPG Prints rotary screen print unit integrated into a bespoke roll to roll coating system made by VDL ETG. CPI are looking to tender for a supplier for rotary screens suitable for use in the existing system.
