Description

The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment require continued use of the CA:2E Software Development Environment (SDE) which is CCEA's main business application allowing the collection and storage of exam and coursework marks from candidates, calculation of grades for candidates and to produce results for candidates. This Direct Award Contract (DAC) will be for 3 years and expire on 17 September 2026

Legal Justification

The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment require continued use of the CA:2E Software Development Environment (SDE) which is CCEA's main business application for 3 years until 17 September 2026. There are derogations under the regulations to award a contract to a single supplier where the supplies or services can only be supplied by a particular supplier for reasons connected with the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights (regulation 32(2)(b)(iii)) in that the supplier owns exclusive rights to the software.
