Description
In Derbyshire, the children and young People's specialist substance misuse services are provided across the whole County, which is a geographically large, mainly rural county with significant areas of agricultural land, hills and moorland to the north, and with small villages and market towns being wide spread across the County. Levels of affluence and deprivation vary across the County from thriving tourist centres in areas of outstanding natural beauty to areas where the economic decline following the demise of the coal industry some 30 years ago is still felt. The Council is commissioning a Tier 3 specialist substance misuse service for children and young people as detailed in this specification that shall commence April 2017. Specialist (Tier 3) - specialist service for those misusing substances or recovering from substance misuse, working with other stakeholders including families to provide holistic support and sustainable recovery
