Description

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) (The Commissioner) would like to notify the market of a potential opportunity to provide General Dental Services in Bolsover under a short term caretaker contract and would like to invite all interested providers to participate in an early market assessment questionnaire. The service commencement date is 1st January 2024. Please note the deadline for expressions of interest is 12pm on 14th September 2023.

Total Quantity or Scope

Interim caretaker contract for a duration of 12 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months at an estimated contract value of £1,319,212, (including 12 month extension). There will also be a fixed monthly payment of £4,167 to cover costs associated with service delivery and a one off start-up cost of £40,000 to be paid at the commencement of the contract. The commissioner is looking for a provider to deliver 1,008 clinical sessions per year. This is a unique situation in that premises are available which must be utilised by the successful interim caretaker provider. The current premises are purpose built and fit for purpose and the Commissioner intends to provide a full subsidy for premises costs.The premises to deliver this service are mandated and therefore must be delivered from the following address:29 Market Place, BolsoverChesterfieldS44 6NPKey points for consideration for interested providers are that they:-- Must be able to mobilise within a short time frame e.g 1 month- Must have available or access to workforce capacity to deliver the service (Please note TUPE will not apply)- Must be eligible to hold a PDS Agreement- Must have equipment available to fulfil this service (no assets will be available to transfer)

If more than one compliant provider registers an interest for this opportunity, meets the requirements set out in this notice and the questionnaire then the ICB may set out details for a competitive process. Should only one provider register an interest and meet the requirements, the ICB reserve the right to award to that provider without further publication following due diligence checks. This is purely an early engagement exercise; any subsequent procurement will be advertisedseparately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to theprocurement advertisement as and when published.This is a market testing exercise and does not commit the Commissioners to carry out a procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements.The procurement will be advertised in accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) (the “Regulations”) to the extent that the Regulations relate to services within the scope of Schedule 3 thereto (Social and Other Specific Services).
